Information

After her divorce from the wealthy George Brokaw (1929), Clare Boothe married Henry Luce, the publisher, in 1935. As a politician, she served in the House of Representatives and was an ambassador to Italy and Brazil. As a writer, she wrote many stories and articles and the play "The Women," centering on Reno divorce. It became a popular movie in 1939.
